We specialise in working with private family and friend groups, providing truly exclusive and bespoke experiences.

What You Need

We provide you with all of the specialist equipment for each activity, including warm winter wetsuits and wetsuit socks, gloves and hoods for those colder days.

We offer a selection of options to suit your needs; half days, casual full days (single activity) or a full day (2 activities) of adventure. We work with small groups, so we can ensure a Real Adventure full of fun and exhilaration. Our stand out offer is a closed group option, this really does make the day yours and gives the freedom to keep the day very flexible to suit your needs. If we do open mixed session we ensure every group is compatible, so we separate out families, adult and young adventurers. This means we can pitch our activities at an appropriate level to suit everyone in the group.

We always work in small groups and more often than not work with closed groups, to give you a real exclusive and personal experience.

Your comfort is important to us, so we provide you with high quality equipment while out on activity. Our equipment is kept to a high standard through rigorous maintenance and frequent renewal.

We always use winter wetsuits for in water activities. these are 5mm full piece wetsuits, offering you warmth and protection from the elements. We also provide you with wetsuit socks and gloves when required.

We are highly trained and qualified in what we do, this combined with years of experience and a genuine passion for sharing our knowledge, provides you with a safe and professional service.

We spend time and give consideration to choose the best location for each day and each activity. We never slip into default mode. Every day we check the forecast and tides, then after a discussion with you, we choose the best location we believe with suit your group on that day.

We aim to use quieter more exclusive activity venues, avoiding the busy honey pot locations and times when we can. This gives you a real feel of wilderness and adventure.

We have ample private car parking space on our 120acre farm, you leave your car there while we use our minibus to get you to the best activity locations.

We provide changing facilities so you can get kitted up and make sure the kit fits well and is comfortable before we head out on activity. Whatever you shape or size we will have kit that fits.

We are fully licenced under the Adventure Activity Licencing Service AAL’s.

Where Will We Go?

We will take you out to the best locations each day. We’ll choose from a range of locations along the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline according to the tides, weather and swell conditions, we take into consideration your interests and experience so we ensure you are experiencing the very best adventure location for you on that particular day. Because we are located on the outskirts of St Davids we are spoilt for choice with regards to world class adventure locations all with-in 20 minutes travel time of The Real Adventure Company base.

This means we can offer adventure activities at many uniquely special Pembrokeshire locations with rugged sea cliffs, secluded coves, amazing sea caves, stacks and natural rock arches, not to mention the abundance of coastal wildlife: sea birds, wild flowers and of course the Atlantic grey seals.

We have specifically developed our Casual full day to give us time to travel to you, so we are not just restricted to the St Davids area. We frequently find ourselves on the south coast of Pembrokeshire.

We’re continually developing our adventure sites, so we have different beautiful spots to choose from all over the county. At these carefully chosen locations you’ll enjoy the seclusion and awe inspiring nature of the coastline with beautiful, clean, unspoilt wilderness, idyllic coves, sandy beaches and rocky headlands, home to a wide variety of marine life, seabirds and beautiful coastal plant life.

Don’t be worried about booking into more than one adventure session – with all the variables of different locations, tide and swell – no two adventures are ever the same!

For every session we will provide a dedicated minibus and driver to transport you from The Real Adventure Company base to the chosen venue on the coast. For groups bookings we can arrange to collect you from your accommodation.

When Do They Run?

We are operational all year around 7 days a week, so whenever you fancy a bit of an adventure, we are here and ready to go. During the longer days of the summer we run sunset sessions, so if you fancy an evening activity, you could book on of these.

We are out there all the way through the winter, so if you want to start the year with a New Years Day Splash, we are here to share that experience with you.

Participant Restrictions

Are there any participant restrictions?

We strongly believe that the outdoors should be accessible to everyone and that you are never too young or old to get out there and enjoy wild and beautiful places.

Because of the way we operate we can accommodate we very wide age span. Our youngest adventurers to date were 3 years old and they were accompanied by their 8month old Labradoodle dog. Our oldest adventurer was (is) 75 years old. The reason we can accommodate this age range is because we offer closed group session, this allows us to adapt the day to your specific needs.

It is however important that the equipment fits well. Our current smallest wetsuit is an extra small childs suit, to fit someone 114cm (3”9’) tall, 61cm (24’) chest and 56cm (22’) waist. If you are smaller than this, please give us a call to discuss the options.

It’s always good to know as much about you as possible when you book, so we can have you need in mind as we are planning the day.

So, as we say anyone can join the adventure, all you need is an adventurous attitude and a healthy appetite for fun. So trust your adventurous side and trust us to look after you and you will do things you never thought possible.

No previous experience is needed, ideally a basic idea of how to swim would be good, doggy paddle will do, though a little bit of water confidence and a buoyance aid will see you out there bobbing about having a great time.

When you arrive with us we will ask that you fill out a medical declaration form to make us aware of any pre-existing injuries or medical conditions you may have, again the more we know in advance the better. If you have any concerns or questions, please do get in touch and we can answer any questions you may have.

This was the best bit of our already brilliant week in Pembrokeshire! Our guide and owner Pete was fantastic; experienced, knowledgeable and fun! He took time to help me out (it was our first time Coasteering) and we had a great time jumping in and finding little whirlpools to crash around in. We also learnt a great deal about the wildlife from Pete’s extensive knowledge of the area. All the equipment provided is high quality and we even get a lift down to the rocks in a mini bus. I’d recommend this to anyone thinking of doing Coasteering who is feeling a little nervous, don’t be, it’s great! There are a few companies to choose from in the area; we found this one the best as it was a better price, there was transport down to the beach – so more time in the water and Pete was so passionate and experienced, we get a more bespoke coasteer than bigger companies could provide.
